The Fear of Being Seen
“Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe.” — Proverbs 29:25
I felt sick to my stomach when I hit “post.”
My hands were shaking. I suddenly wanted to delete everything — the podcast, the video, the reel. I started worrying about what people would think… what my family would say… who might laugh, judge, or misunderstand me.
It’s wild how quickly the fear of being seen can choke out the excitement God placed in your heart.
But in that moment, I felt Him whisper: Yoke up.
I didn’t have to stand in front of the world alone. Jesus was beside me, carrying the weight of the fear I couldn’t carry. He reminded me that obedience matters more than approval, and partnership matters more than perfection.
When I pictured Him next to me, the panic loosened its grip. I felt peace. I felt covered. I felt safe — not because people wouldn’t talk, but because He walks with me.
Obedience is safer than approval when you’re yoked up with Jesus.
Jesus, remind me that I’m never standing alone.
